Special subjects at our school
aus LES, der Lehrer-Eltern-Schüler-Datenbank des Real- und Aufbaugymnasiums Hollabrunn
Our school is a private Catholic school and we have also special subjects.
The first one is “Morgenkreis”. Every Monday in the first lesson the first, second, third and fourth classes have Morgenkreis. This year the fifth classes have the special subject too – but normally they don’t. In Morgenkreis we try to solve school problems or problems in class. We also mediate and relax.
Our school is the only one in Austria which has the subject Humanbiologie and Humanpsychologie. In this subject you learn about the development of humans from pre-born to old age, in one from a biological perspective, in the other from the psychological one. You learn how to understand other people and treat them well. You get the basics for learning a job in the social or church field. Another thing you learn is how to unfold your personality.
Our school has also a special class in which you revise things you have already heard in your old school, called Übergangsklasse. The Übergangsklasse counts as ninth grade and you have seven lessons of German, of English and of Mathematics.
Beside English you have the possibility to learn foreign languages at our school. In the fifth class you have to decide between French and Latin and furthermore you can learn Russian, Spanish and Italian, in some school years there is even the possibility to learn Czech.
